According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. on August 3 along a curved section of Route 201 near the Wyman Hydroelectric Dam.

Investigators said an empty logging tractor-trailer traveling northbound reportedly hydroplaned in heavy rain, causing its trailer to swing into the southbound lane. Poulin, who was driving an SUV southbound, was unable to avoid the trailer, resulting in a devastating collision.
